As far back as I can remember, I liked to beat on things in rhythm to music. When I got my first record player*
one birthday, I began playing along to my Mom's 45 records on my bed (it made a great drum set at the time).
* For those of you who don't know, a record player is something that played round vinyl discs similar to the
CD players of today.
I began playing in school band at age 11 in Las Vegas, Nevada. I knew then that drumming was what I wanted to do in
life. I was fortunate to have a great music program in high school that taught jazz, rock, pop, and latin music styles. Furthermore,
the Las Vegas music scene allowed me to play the lounge and club venues at the tender age of 14. I moved to California at
age 19, and began studying privately. I continued my drumming studies at the Percussion Institute of Technology. Upon graduating,
I persued an AA degree in Music at El Camino College. I also have a Bachelor's Degree in Business Management. Today, I play
for several artists both live and in the studio. I also teach privately, and direct the percussion ensemble at El Camino
College in Torrance, California. If you live in the LA area and are interested in drum lessons, please contact me.

What a job!
Not too many people are able to work at a job in life that they absolutely
love. I am truly blessed by God to do what I do. I get paid to play drums!!!
